Very good overview of mending and patching woven fabrics and darning knits. Lots of information.
for your info DMC pearl cotton thickness decreases as number increases. Ex: 3 is the thickest, and gradually decreases in thickness through the numbers 5, 8, 12. Counter intuitive for sure.
