Make Plarn For Earth Day
The disappointing aspect of this class is that Faith went and got new plastic bags to make this. The point of this type of project, in my opinion is to create something new out of waste, that would otherwise likely end up in a landfill. That may be the case after it's been used for takeout, however seeking out new bags to dismantle them, in my opinion, defeats the purpose. And that Faith was proud to have collected a stack of new plastic bags for this purpose, encourages other people to do the same thing, rather than saving plastic bags that will surely come across in their day to day, whether in their own shopping, or finding already discarded bags.
Faith's net like crochet would be good for a produce bag; crochet in the round, sew bottom, add handles, and slip a cord (crocheted or not) arond top portion to close.

What a fun, creative, and reusable or upcycled way to use plastic bags!
