Embroidered Sampler Passport Book: A Daily Practice
I took this class more for the book aspect rather than the embroidery. I've been wanting to make a stitch book for a long time and had been stuck in my head. Who this broke my heart"stitchers block". The "daily" aspect made me really take the project seriously. I kept up (mostly). The one thing I discovered about myself is that I'm not a 'messy' stitcher. I liked more formal applications. So it was out with the ruler to make sure my lines were straight and regular. I didn't buy the class materials. I just used some material I already had. I used the template to mark out my pages and sitcoms sections. I coloured the pages with some watercolour markers. This worked really well - I long as I don't use the steam iron. I sewed the finished pages together using blanket stitches (no sewing machine). I counted that as more practise.
So overall I really enjoyed the class. I'd love a volume 2. If there's a class for that I'll take it otherwise I have enough information from here to create one myself.
Learned so much and she teaches at a wonderful pace and it was a great project to complete.
