After mastering her skills on herself and her friends, nail artist Taylor Watson of SF Party Nails broke the mold of traditional salon culture and began a business by popping up at Bay Area bars and vintage stores, bringing her innovative designs to unexpected audiences. Now creating bold looks out of her own private studio, Taylor’s highly coveted designs are often colorful, geometric and pattern-based, with subtle, expertly placed accents. Her nail art business is a party in its own right and now she's bringing the party to Creativebug!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Nail polishes of choice
- Clear base coat
- Clear top coat -- Taylor uses Seche Vite
- Orange wood stick
- 100% acetone
- Paper towel / cotton ball / nail wipes
- Cuticle oil
- For Look One: 1 base color of choice, dry glitter, dotting tool, plastic or metal palette
- For Look Two: 4-6 sheer polish colors of choice, black opaque polish, thin striper brush, gold foil, tweezers, flat brush
- For Look Three: 4-6 opaque polish colors of choice, small dipping cup for acetone, dotting tool, thin striper brush, palette (optional)
- For Look Four: White, black, off-white, red, light blue, dark blue, neon yellow, polishes – all opaque, dotting tool, thin striper brush, palette (optional)
