Accessible tip: use a Dremel with a sanding tip instead of sandpaper!
I switched to a Dremel with a sanding attachment even the inner edges, which drastically cut down the time and energy manually sanding tight corners.
As one commenter mentioned, the amount of sanding to even out any crooked cuts can get tiring, even for the strongest of us like Jody!

Jody sure made it look easy. Her explanation was great. But cutting the pages was much harder than I thought it would be. I am happy with my wonky book safe - it works!
