She lost me in the first lesson when you have to have the super fancy machine with camera to do what she is showing.  She didn't offer any optional suggestions for "if you don't have this feature" - seems like more of an attempt to sell a particular machine. 

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS  don't typically have the top of the line machine.

When this series was produced for QNNtv over a decade ago, it was heavily sponsored by Baby Lock, and I agree that the branding can feel overly prominent. That said, I’ve watched all the seasons of ABME and think there are still plenty of great lessons, techniques, and project ideas to be found throughout the series—especially if you can look past the branding that helped make the show possible.
